De-seeding Blanket
Finally got round to dismantling the seed blanket to store the seeds for Blanket 2, and to use the fabric for another project. Took around 3 hours to carefully pull out seeds (to avoid pulling off the seed heads or breaking the sharp points off. This was still unavoidable for some.)
The blanket has been stored in a cardboard box constructed to its size.
Extra pieces of flower mixed with some of the seeds
The fluffy residue from the seeds left on the fabric and tray collecting seeds.
Upside down.
Blanket rested on my leg while I pulled out the seeds. Pollen and seed residue came through onto my leggings.
All components of the blanket now.
Dried heather, protea perianths, protea seeds/styles.
